Assistant Pastor & Minister of Music

Assistant Pastor Elder Andrew Bennett Jr. was born May 5, 1979. He was the son of much prayer. God blessed Pastor and Evangelist Bennett with this miracle child after 5 years of trying to conceive. Andrew Jr. was prayed for and given back to God while still in his mother's womb. His parents asked God to save him and endow him with ministries and instrumental abilities. God answered their prayer. Andrew gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He began playing the keyboard at age twelve has been playing ever since. During his senior year in of high school, Andrew was diagnosed with Sarcodis, a rare disease that affects mostly minority males. Andrew dedicated himself totally to God, accepted his call to the ministry, and the Lord healed him.

Elder Bennett is an anointed Minister of Music at City of Refuge and one who leads the saints into dynamic worship. He is also a talented and gifted song writer and anointed preacher, affectionately nicked named "Elder Attitude” because he preaches with such authority. He is also a graduate of Illinois State University, with a B.S. in Criminal Justice Sciences.

On July 20, 2002, Andrew Jr. was united in Holy matrimony with Missionary Cora Lashay Hardwrick. God finally gave the Bennett family the daughter they never had. Cora is the daughter of Riley and Sister Gracie Hardwrick of Chicago, IL.  Missionary Cora is the prefect helpmate and soul mate for Elder Bennett. Always supportive of his ministry, she constantly encourages him to be all that the Lord wants him to be. She is an anointed speaker in her own right.  Missionary Bennett is a graduate of Illinois State University where with a B.S. degree in Nursing.
